2007 Fee Update Program – New requirements for Dentists in Ontario and Québec!

Effective for the 2007 Fee Update, users will be required enter their ODA or ACDQ Membership ID number and a password to allow the Fee Update installation to update ABELDent with the 2007 fees. This new requirement was introduced by the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and Association des chirurgiens dentists du Québec (ACDQ) in order to protect their intellectual property.
This requirement does not apply to any other provinces at this time.

Fees Increased for Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services – Schedule of Dental ServicesMarch 29, 2006
Effective April 1, 2006 fees for dental services and procedures covered by the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) dental care plan in Ontario will increase by 2 percent. The Ministry will be providing a paper copy of the MCSS Schedule of Dental Services and Fees including the revised fees to all Ontario dentists and clinics practicing in the province.
ABELDent users can make the across the board 2 percentage fee increase change easily by using the “Change Fees” utility included within the ABELDent software. Refer to the Help Files found within your ABELDent application for instruction on the use of this utility (Select Index, Search for “Change Fees”) or view the instructions at this Change Fees Utility link.
Emergis Electronic Claims - New Phone # Required by Feb. 24, 2006December 19, 2005
Emergis has finalized the requirements to support their new NDC Claims Switch and the replacement NDC phone number is now live. Emergis has provided ABELSoft with detailed instructions on the modifications that require to be made to ABELDent by February 24, 2006. Software Update Maintenance Subscribers will receive a separate utility on their 2006 Fee Update CD which will make the modifications for you. Customers that do not have a current Software Update Maintenance agreement may follow the NDC-Emergis PH # change instructions posted here.
