ITRANS™
ITRANS™ Claim Service Enrolment - Part 1
  1. Consult with ABEL to confirm which computers in your office will require Internet access.
  2. To sign up to use ITRANS™ go to www.goITRANS™.com/forms to obtain the appropriate form or call 1-866-788-1212 for more information on their products.
  3. Fax your completed enrolment form to the ITRANS™ Help Desk at 1-613-736-8030.
  4. Advise your ABELDent representative that you are ready to implement ITRANS™.

Note: You need to have a CDAnet™ or Réseau ACDQ™ subscription in place prior to being able to transmit electronic claims via ITRANS™ or via a modem. Subscribing to CDAnet is done directly with the Canadian Dental Association. Subscribing to Réseau ACDQ™ is done directly with l'Association des chirurgiens dentistes du Québec.  Once you have been provided with your 4 digit unique office ID advise CSI, and they will be able to complete your ITRANS™ enrolment. ITRANS™ Claim Service Enrolment - Part 2

Once CSI  receives your enrolment form they will mail you a kit that includes:
  • “Want to Keep More of this?”  Brochure
  • 4 cascading sheets: ITRANS™, eQualifID, Computer Specs, FAQ.
  • ITRANS™ Payment Service Brochure with “True Cost Worksheet”  
  • ITRANS™ Dental User Guide
  • ITRANS™ Digital Certificate Letter

Upon receipt, use the directions in your “ITRANS™ Digital Certificate Letter” to install your digital certificate/s, for further assistance you can visit http://goITRANS™.com/support/Claims/ITRANS™_claims_training_videos.htm or call 1-866-788-1212.

Note: Always notify the ITRANS™ Help Desk when you change your email address.

ITRANS™ Claim Service Enrolment - Part 3 

Check ABELDent ITRANS™ updates which contain additions to the ITRANS™ Communication Agent information file (ica.ini) to support the latest insurance carriers that accept electronic claim submissions  and the latest version of the Windows ITRANS Communications Agent (ica.exe).

Additional assistance can be obtained by contacting the ITRANS™ Help Desk by telephone at 1-866-788-1212.

System Requirements

ABEL is pleased to assist you our valued customer with all your technology needs. ABEL’s seminar: Email and the Internet for Dental Offices has helped many offices prepare for connecting their systems to the Internet safely and securely. ABEL's support and consulting services are available to help determine what Computer processor, RAM, Disk, Monitor, Software, Web Browser is best for your office.

Firewalls and AntiVirus Software are important components to have in place.  CSI recommends to have a Firewall Hardware (Linksys, Cisco, etc) installed for an additional layer of security.

Internet Connectivity: Dialup 56K modem, ADSL or Cable.
Note: Dialup might be slow when downloading digital images.

With ITRANS™ you can send attachments (digital X-rays, photographs and word documents) to other dentists using the following hardware:
  • Flat bed scanner with transparency adapter (should you be using film x-rays)
  • or Digital Camera: 1 Mega Pixel or better, more than 2 Mega Pixel "not required"
  • or Digital X-Ray or Intra-oral camera systems as supplied
Remember that each dental practice is unique in its set up, therefore always refer to your IT consultant to help them assist you in purchasing appropriate technology solutions to help you leverage the Internet and to maximize its usage including ITRANS™ products.
